Use elevators as real milestones
The four main shafts are much easier when you think in small elevator stops instead of trying to finish all 40 floors in one day.

Track the four main shafts, prepare one sensible loadout, and turn the Cave of Memories into a series of reachable checkpoints.
Each shaft has 40 floors and unlocks in order: Earth, Water, Wind, then Fire.

Any 18 Lake Temple offerings unlock Savannah access. Completing the Advanced Altar opens the Cave of Memories, where checkpoints arrive every 25 floors through floor 125.
Tick the memory floors as you reach them. After floor 125, the cave continues infinitely for repeat resource runs.
A short focused run is usually better than carrying every tool and staying until the whole day disappears.

Food, a weapon, the pickaxe, ropes or explosives can rescue a poor floor layout. Do not risk irreplaceable items for one extra level.
The late-game cave displays a changing daily set of possible items, mushroom trees and giant crops. Use that information to decide whether today is worth a deep run.
Main-shaft order and 40-floor structure, Savannah access at 18 offerings, Advanced Altar access to the Cave of Memories, and 25-floor memory checkpoints are cross-checked against current Coral Island Wiki pages. Version 1.3 official notes confirm mining spawn changes and Cave of Memories fixes.
